Parking

Parking is available in the lot on Summerhill Avenue and behind the church building (entrance on Pine Street). The first spaces on the 16th and Pine Street parking lot are reserved for individuals with wheelchairs or needing assistance to our wheelchair accessible front door.  Any of our entrances will lead you up the stairs to our worship area.  There is a Welcome Desk in the overflow area of the sanctuary where all kinds of information is available.

Children & Youth

Your children are welcome to stay with you throughout the worship service, but we also have ministries geared toward kids that you may want to take advantage of. More...

We are so glad you have taken an interest in who we are and what ministries we offer. Our vision is: “We are a beacon for God – helping others to See, to Accept, and to Grow in the light of Jesus Christ.” What does that mean? For us, it means sharing the light of God’s grace available to us all.

See  God is always present. And God loves you. It’s just that sometimes we need that pointed out to us before it becomes obvious to us. Our desire is to help you to see how God is already at work in your life even though you may not yet be able to see it.

Accept We believe the main thing is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. “Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved” (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13). Our desire is to help you accept the salvation God offers to you as a gift of his unconditional love.

Grow Once you give your life to Christ, you will come to realize that your life is no longer the same. You will want to find ways to express your gratitude to God for your gift of salvation. Our desire to help you find ways to grow in your relationship with God.

Will I have to sign in, give, or be singled out in any way?

We won’t ask you to identify yourself as new or as a visitor. In an attempt to make ourselves available to you, you’ll have the opportunity to fill out a connection card if you wish to let us know you were here or desire specific information, but that is totally optional. There is also a Welcome Table and fellowship area in the back of the sanctuary where guests can request more information about the church, meet our pastor and some of our staff, but you may remain anonymous if you wish to. If after several weeks you think you might want to get connected, we encourage you to introduce yourself to our staff and/or let us know you are here. We often have a time of "greeting" during the service for people to say "hi" to each other, but this is just a way of being friendly and greeting everyone who is there, not just visitors.

One aspect of our service is an opportunity for those committed to the church to give financially as an act of worship and devotion to God. This money supports the ministry of the church, including service to our community and other parts of the world. This occurs during the “Offering” portion of the service. As a visitor, you are not expected to contribute any money to the church.

Sunday School

Bethany’s adult Sunday school classes explore the Bible, the doctrines of our faith, and various topics, all in an effort to learn and live out God's calling for our lives.  To learn more about the opportunities available to you, please see ourSunday School page.

Worship

Traditional worship

  • Bethany offers a traditional-style worship service each Sunday morning at 8:30 that consists of welcome, prayer, hymns, a sermon, and offering.  We often have special music including our handbell choir – Bells of Grace.
  • Following the Children’s Moment, kids from age 2 to grade 5 can go downstairs for a child-oriented worship.  They’ll have a great time.
  • After worship, join us in one of our Sunday school classes or take an opportunity to get to know one another in our coffee/fellowship area.  The service typically lasts an hour.
  • Come and visit us! We're looking forward to it!

Praise Service

  • Join us for worship. This is our "come as you are" service. Seriously, we mean that. If you want; wear a pair of jeans and a T-shirt, maybe a suit, or even something completely comfy, that is great, and we hope you come and join us Sunday mornings at 11:00.
  • Each Sunday morning you can expect a relaxed atmosphere, passionate uplifting music from P.S.A.L.M.S.  (our praise team), solid, biblical teaching, and have an opportunity to get to know one another in our coffee/fellowship area.  The service typically lasts an hour.
  • Following the Children’s Moment, kids from age 2 to grade 5 can go downstairs for a child-oriented worship.  They’ll have a great time.
  • Come as you are - we'll be expecting you!

We look forward to sharing with you as we discover together where God is leading us next!
